All amendments pass except #6 which would have allowed New Iberia to grant city property tax exemptions to any property owner annexed into the city after Jan. 1, 2013.

In St. Mary Parish, the only school proposition did pass. There will be a runoff between Morgan City mayor candidates Frank "Boo" Grizzaffi (35% of the vote) and Lee Dragna (19% of the vote). Winners of the council seats in District 1 is Tim Hymel, District 3 is Ron Bias, District 4 is James Fontenot and District 5 is Louis Tamporello Jr.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - The hard-fought struggle between Republican U.S. Reps. Charles Boustany and Jeff Landry will continue for another month. In Vermilion Parish, there will be a runoff between Brodney Mouton Sr. (25% of the vote) and Ruby Thibeaux (43% of the vote) for Kaplan City Marshal. The school district proposition also passed in Vermilion Parish.
James Broussard was elected chief in Delcambre; Carol Broussard was re-elected as Delcambre's mayor.
