New assistance is on its way for sexual assault victims in St Martin Parish. It's all through the help of a program called S.A.N.E., which stands for "Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners." A St. Martinville family is now looking for answers after the desecration of a loved one's grave.

An employee at a Breaux Bridge salt plant died Saturday following a worksite accident. One person is dead after a car being towed on Interstate 10 broke free and crashed into another vehicle.
State police say the crash took place just past the Breaux Bridge exit at mile marker 112. The car being towed crossed the median after it broke free from the car pulling it and smashed (More)

Update: The outside lane of I-10 is temporarily blocked at mile marker 112, eastbound (between Breaux Bridge and Henderson). First responders are working to transport the four victims. One person was killed, two have minor injuries, and one has moderate injuries following a 2-vehicle crash.

Right now: Troopers are working an accident at mile marker 112 (between Breaux Bridge and Henderson), Eastbound on I-10. Traffic is moving slowly, but the interstate is not shut down. As always, information on interstate hold-ups can be found by dialing 511 or visiting 511la.org.

A Breaux Bridge man is awaiting extradition to Houston on robbery charges. Alex LaFleur was arrested in Lafayette on an unrelated warrant.
