  Man accused of pulling gun on woman during fight

  A Lafayette man is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm after he allegedly pulled a gun on a woman during an argument. The incident took place around 4:30 Monday morning in the 200 block of Oklahoma Street. Police say Craig Sam pointed the gun at the victim and put his hand on the trigger. Sam is free on $5,000 bond.

  Part of Vincent Road to Close Wednesday

  Vincent Road between Verot School Road and E. Broussard Road will be closed for the next two to three weeks. Lafayette public works officials say the road will close tomorrow for rehabilitation work. Detour routes will be made available.

  In an effort to bring more transparency to local government, KATC poured through receipts to find out how much the council is spending above their yearly salary. And learned only five of the nine councilmen used city credit cards or asked for reimbursements above their salaries.
