Lake Arthur Schools Closed Wednesday

Lake Arthur Elementary and High Schools will be closed again tomorrow due to the flooding in the area. That's according to Jeff Davis Parish Schools Superintendent David Clayton. Clayton says he's reviewing the sitution is day-to-day, and there is no definitive date to reopen.

The following will be the only schools closed Tuesday, January 15th. If it's not listed, it's OPEN. (Acadia Parish revised and added the ward 5 schools back to the closure list.)
Acadia Parish: Evangeline Elementary School, Ward 5 schools (Morse Elementary, Estherwood Elementary, Mermentau Elementary, Midland High)

Superintendent: Lake Arthur Schools Closed Tuesday

Lake Arthur Elementary and High Schools will be closed again tomorrow due to impending flooding. That's according to Jeff Davis Parish Schools Superintendent David Clayton. Clayton says all other schools in the parish will be open tomorrow.

Lake Arthur Meeting Urges Residents to Leave Low Lying Areas
