    Escaped inmate in Welsh considered armed and dangerous

    The Welsh Police department is searching for an escaped inmate they say should be considered armed and dangerous. 33-year-old Damien Guidry is 6'3 and 192 pounds. Guidry was stopped on a federal warrant, and was brought to the Welsh Police Station where he escaped. If you see him, call 911 or Welsh Police at 337-734-2626.

    Jennings police are looking for a suspect involved in a business burglary. Investigators say the suspect broke into a warehouse late last month and stole what appeared to be scrap iron.     Persons of interest in Jennings double murder interviewed

    Jennings police say two persons of interest have been developed in a February double murder. Investigators say they traveled to Texas to speak with the two subjects. Police say they cannot release any further information about the subjects or the investigation.

    Charles and Katrenna Segura Williams were found dead in their home on February 24. Their four-year-old child was found alive inside the home when police arrived.

    Stabbing Suspect Arrested on Attempted Manslaughter Charge

    A Jennings man is in the Jeff Davis Parish Jail and charged with attempted manslaughter in connection with a weekend stabbing. The incident took place Saturday at the corner of Orange and Renshaw Streets. Investigators say 72-year-old Floyd Daniels stabbed the unidentified female victim during an argument. A neighbor heard the fight and stepped in to stop Daniels. The victim is in ICU at a local hospital in stable condition.

    A woman is in stable condition after being stabbed in the chest Saturday afternoon. 

    Jennings police say they responded to a call at the intersection of Orange Street and Renshaw. When they arrived they found the female with the stab wound. Police say she was transported to the hospital where she is currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. 

    Officers say they did arrest a male suspect without incident.

    Two women are accused of scamming an 85-year-old woman out of $6,000.
