A New Iberia teen is set to announce a first round NFL draft pick. Markell Gregoire, a patient at Memphis' St. Jude's Research Hospital, will join NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in New York to announce a pick during the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
The draft will air on the NFL Network and ESPN on Thursday, Apr. 25, at 7 pm.

The man who died in a crash in New Iberia Friday morning is identified as 19-year-old Jacinto Leopoldo Flores- Rodriguez of Marrero. According to the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office, Flores-Rodriguez's car went into a canal and flipped. The crash happened around 6:00 Friday morning at South Lewis St. and Kingdom Circle near the Port of Iberia.
