    Fire Station Reopens in New Iberia

    A fire station in Iberia Parish will re-open after being closed for the last two days. The city says this all boils down to a funding issue.

    New Iberia public works crews will be conducting smoke testing of sewers next week. The tests will be conducted in the 700 to 900 blocks of Yvonne Street, the 1000 and 1100 blocks of Wallace Street, the 1600 block of Emily Street, and the 1600 block of Zez Street. Residents are reminded that the smoke is not toxic and is not a fire hazard.
