A 39-year old Morgan City man is facing charges for a rape that happened nearly 20 years ago.
Bernie Metrejean was arrested in St. Mary Parish after a tip from the Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office.
They say DNA taken during Metrejean's drug arrest in St. Martin Parish a month ago matched up to the old rape case.
The rape and kidnapping happened in 1994, in the city of Plaquemine.
