Woman befriends elderly woman then accused of stealing her purse

A 20-year-old Ragley woman is accused of befriending an elderly woman in a store then snatching her purse. Kelli R. Leblanc stole the woman's purse from her grocery cart and was charged with purse snatching, Clacasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Kim Myers said.
Leblanc was previously arrested in February accused of burglary and theft in Moss Bluff. She was out on bond when deputies arrested her for the alleged purse snatching.

Convicted Sex offender accused of raping two women

A Vinton man is accused of entering a woman's house and raping her. While investigating, investigators say they discovered Glenn P. Baxter II raped another woman on several times over a four month period. Both women were acquaintances.

Three more arrests made in Lake Charles triple murders

Lake Charles police detectives have made three more arrests in the triple homicide that happened in McMillian Park on Goss St. in March. All three people arrested are from Lake Charles, and they are Jasmine Jere Hales, 20, Rava Lacole Aaron, 24, and 23-year-old Lon Allen Porter.
