Two men are in the Acadia Parish Jail after a traffic stop led to a marijuana bust. Police say Orlando Lewis and Tromone Davis tried to speed away from an officer trying to make the stop, but they were caught a short time later. Investigators say they found 14 ounces of marijuana, small plastic bags, a scale, and cash. The pair faces a multiple drug charges, including possession with intent to distribute.

In Acadia and Evangeline Parishes, voters will decide whether to renew a 10-year property tax to fund the Basile High School Athletic Department.
