    After the coldest temperatures in nearly 22 years across the area, Acadiana will begin to see a slow warming trend after another frigid start Thursday. Temperatures Thursday morning won't be as cold as they were Wednesday morning with readings mostly in the upper teens to near 20 across the region.

    Winter returns to Acadiana with an icy start and commute Wednesday morning with many of the roads around south Louisiana covered in ice after Tuesday's weather.  The question now will be when will the temperatures warm above freezing and give the roads a chance to thaw out, unfortunately it doesn't look like the roads will see much improvement until after lunch.  Temperatures will barely crawl up to around 34 in the afternoon giving us a few hours of thawing and hopefully ...

    At this stage we are all as hardy as Arctic explorers here in Acadiana, or at the very least we've learned how to properly dress for the cold weather, which for us is a step in the right direction.  It may have seemed at times that cold would never end but we can finally say that warmer conditions are on the horizon and this cold snap will be over in a few days.  There's still a couple below freezing nights in our immediate future, Thursday and Friday night both will range...

    Wednesday morning, and we have still not made it above freezing.  In Acadiana this winter outbreak is certainly rare, but not unprecedented, we've seen cold snaps like this in the past but it's been quite some time for one to last as long as this one.  A few flurries fell overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning but if you slept through them then unfortunately you missed the event as all evidence has melted away leaving behind only a few picture and videos on the internet....
