    Lake Charles Police say a man was killed Tuesday night trying to cross La. 14 near Broad Street.  Noel Velasco Hernandez, 36, was cross the highway when he was hit by a Nissan Murano that was traveling north. Hernandez was in the middle of the highway when he was struck, police say.  The crash is under investigation. Standard toxicology tests are being run on both people.  The crash is being investigated by Corporal Kirk Dugas and Sgt. Sammy Kingsley.

    A Lake Charles man is dead following a single-vehicle crash about two miles from Vinton. The accident happened on La. 108 near Gray Road in Calcasieu Parish, a spokesman for State Police Troop D says.
