    Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's deputies have arrested a babysitter in connection with a serious injury to a four-month-old child.  Kristian Rosas, 25, was booked with second-degree cruelty to a juvenile. Deputies were called to a hospital about the injury to the baby, and spoke to Rosas, who is the child's babysitter.     A Calcasieu Parish student was arrested after a stolen handgun was brought to school. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office (CPSO) Safe School Deputy at Barbe High School received information from school officials in reference to a student that may be in possession of a firearm, according to a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office.

    A Beaumont man was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison for kidnapping two girls after stealing the truck they were in. Henry Dwight Moore, 23, of Beaumont, Texas, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jay C. Zainey on one count of kidnapping. He was also sentenced to five years of supervised release.
