    According to multiple sources including ESPN, the New Orleans Saints are close to signing free agent running back Adrian Peterson. Peterson, who spent 10 years in Minnesota, visited the team facility two weeks ago.

    The NFL has announced the 2017 preseason schedule with the Saints, again, facing familiar opponents in exhibition play.  New Orleans will open the four-game slate with Cleveland on the road during the week of August 10-14.

    A Ville Platte family is mourning the death of a loved one who was killed in the crossfire of a shootout.  Family members identify her as Kathy Weston.
