    Some local high school students got to try out a surgical robot today. Through a partnership with local surgeons, Dr. Uyen Chu and Dr. Jim Garcelon, Ascension Episcopal School Upper School students were allowed a unique, hands-on experience with the Divinci Robot and learn the most up to date surgical techniques.     Lake Charles Police say a man was killed Tuesday night trying to cross La. 14 near Broad Street.  Noel Velasco Hernandez, 36, was cross the highway when he was hit by a Nissan Murano that was traveling north. Hernandez was in the middle of the highway when he was struck, police say.  The crash is under investigation. Standard toxicology tests are being run on both people.  The crash is being investigated by Corporal Kirk Dugas and Sgt. Sammy Kingsley.
