    UPDATE: Pho Tastic, a downtown noodle eatery, is closed this week for evaluation after a fire damaged a neighboring business. Lafayette firefighters tell us there were no injuries in the fire, which began behind Phillyanna Cheesesteaks and spread to Pho Tastic and Studio Downtown.  According to a sign on Pho Tastic's door, the restaurant will be closed this week while the building is checked for damage.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

    Lafayette Parish Sheriff's detectives continue their investigation into the death of Vickie Patterson.  Patterson's skeletal remains were found on the 700 block of Lajaunie Road in Lafayette in June of 2017. Detectives have put information about the case on social media asking for leads.  The photograph used was the most recent dated picture they have.  If you recognize Patterson call Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.

    Prairie Elementary hosted its annual Turkey Trot today. All parents of students at the school were invited to attend the sixth annual event. Parents can either walk or run the track with their child during the child's regular PE time.  Students love their weekly track day, teachers say, and adding parents and families to the mix teaches children how important it is to be active.  We will have more tonight on KATC TV3.
