NEW ORLEANS (AP) - If only to curb speculation about the end of an era, the New Orleans Saints could use a strong start to the 2017 regular season.      Given that the 38-year-old Drew Brees is in the final year of his contract and the Saints haven't had a winning season since 2013, early-season stumbles would only lend credence to the notion Brees might want to keep options open in free agency.

For the past few years, it's been the Travis Etienne show at Jennings. The All-State running back rushing for over 2,900 yards and 43 touchdowns before taking his talents to Clemson. But don't feel bad for the Bulldogs, as they have 14 starters returning to help build on that 11-2 record in 2016. The defense along has 8 starters returning and in a bit of a role reversal, should be the focal point for Jennings in 2017.
