(AP) - Freshman Eric Walker allowed one run in 7-2/3 innings and LSU held on to beat Arkansas 4-2 on Sunday in the Southeastern Conference Tournament championship game.      The Tigers (43-17) cruised into the game before claiming their 12th SEC tournament title and sixth under coach Paul Mainieri.

    The road to Sulphur unveiled today and for 44 Acadiana area teams, the dreams of a state championship are still alive.  Kaplan was the lone local team to win a state title last year and will have a tough road to repeat.  The Pirates are ranked 17th in Class 3A and will head to Berwick in a district rematch.  The two teams split the season series. Several area teams will be contenders to be one of the last teams standing at Frasch Park for the softball state tournament....
