    BATON ROUGE -- Kevin Faulk appears to be returning to Baton Rouge, this time as an assistant with the Tigers. In a move that has not been made official, The Advocate reports that Faulk is expected to be hired as a member of the team's support staff. Currently the Lafayette native, and 3-time Super Bowl champion, is an assistant at Carencro high school, where he went to high school. Faulk is LSU's career rushing leader in both yards and touchdowns.

The fine stems from a fourth quarter play in which Payton was penalized after an exchange of words with officials following a timeout. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and Jaguars assistants Pat Flaherty and Keenan McCardell were also fined by the league this week.

Ole Miss won the match with a three-set sweep, winning the tournament. Adams was also named to the all-tournament team.

He told KATC that he had family matters and job opportunities back home, and felt it was the right decision to move back to Texas. Thomas came to Acadiana as a quarterback for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. He played for UL from 2008-2012. He also spent time as an assistant with the team.

    UL Football again has a Quarterback battle on their hands. Head Coach Mark Hudspeth saying Monday that he is unsure who will be the starting QB this upcoming weekend versus Appalachian State. True Freshman Levi Lewis started the game Saturday, but after a few 3 and outs, Junior Jordan Davis replaced him for the rest of the game.  The game against the Mountaineers is a pivotal contest for the Cajuns, as they need a win to become bowl eligible.

    LAHAINA, Maui, Hawaii – LSU freshman Tremont Waters was named to the Maui Jim Maui Invitational All-Tournament team announced following the championship game of the 2017 event. Waters averaged 22.7 points per game with 22 FGs, 10 treys, 14-17 FTs and he averaged 4.0 assists per game and 1.7 steals per game. Highlighting Waters tournament was his 39 points against Marquette in the third place game on Wednesday.

    New Louisiana Softball Coach Gerry Glasco says the Michael Lotief investigation has nothing to do with him, and is apart of the team's past. Glasco spoke with reporters for the first time Wednesday morning. Glasco takes over UL softball weeks after Lotief was fired amid allegations of verbal and physical abuse. Glasco was hired as an assistant for Auburn back in September, but is excited to in Lafayette and carry on UL's winning tradition.
